The IEEE 802.16d in mesh mode allows control of Holdoff time ofeach node, and thus it is possible to adapt the control channel of the localnetwork to different network scenarios and, through appropriate configurationof Holdoff time, to privilege flows that demands higher quality. This paperpresents an algorithm for distributed scheduling mode that dynamicallyadjusts the Holdoff time using the mechanisms available in the originalstandard, creating differentiation between flows, which results in higherthroughput and lower delay for privileged flows.
