This paper presents DESRO (Dynamic Energy Saving Routing), adynamic routing protocol based on ESDSR (Energy Saving Dynamic SourceRouting). This protocol extends the features of ESDSR through the inclusionof an efficient route management system capable of performing a loadbalancing among the nodes. The aim of promoting the load balancing is to geta better energy distribution on the network to postpone the death of the nodesdue to lack of energy. The results show that the route management system wasable to delay the death of the nodes and to increase the data packet deliveryrate.
