DTN (Delay-Tolerant Networks) scenarios present, mostly, contrastingtraits that cause significant variation in the performance of routing protocols.The evaluation of protocols MaxProp, PROPHET and Spray and Waiton three scenarios with contrasting characteristics enabled the quantification ofthese fluctuations in performance and the verification that parameterizable protocolsare able to boost substantially the performance. Moreover, simulationsperformed with PROPHET and a version with a simplified layer of adaptationshowed that the ability to adapt to characteristics of the scenarios (context)enhanced the performance by up to 19.96 % when compared to the standardconfiguration.
